August 22, He really should have died multiple times during the Battle of the Bastards. As usual, he managed to escape somewhat unscathed. He narrowly escapes death when someone or something swoops in at just the right moment to rescue him. The guy is lucky to have some friends with great timing. That time the acting Lord Commander wanted to execute him Saved by: But before Ser Alliser could respond, Maester Aemon jumped in and said that Jon would live to see another day not to mention the executions of both Slynt and Thorne.

Born Christopher Catesby Harington on 26th December, in Worcester, Worcestershire, England, UK and educated at Chantry High School, he is famous for Jon Snow in .

I rewatched some of the scenes with Jon and ygritte before they did it in the cave. I’m only gonna talk about those scenes. While Jon and Dany shared more scenes together than Jon and ygritte did before they made love, with ygritte, Jon encountered a wilding who wasn’t like the other windings he came to know at that point. He hesitated to kill her cause it conflicted with his goodness, and would rather take her as a prisoner.

She makes him question his position as a brother of the nights watch, and makes him question why he should be fighting them if they’re supposed to be on the same side against the white walkers. She also makes him tempted to leave everything and join the wildlings where he can’t be tainted by any rules or labeling as a bastard, but we later that this was a ruse for him to survive She has a strong influence and development on his character who once thought the nights watch is supposed to defend men, but realizes his hypocrisy when his attacking other men.

Also makes him get over his fear of impregnating women so that he wouldn’t have a bastard son. With Dany, most of his scenes with her on dragonstone were political. It did a good job at first in episode 3 with them being on opposite sides but tyrion helping them understand each other a bit more, but suddenly in episode 4 they start to get attracted to each other “not because of dialogue but because they’re in a close space”. And then she asks him what to do, and he repeats what tyrion told her with attacking with the dragons.

The only real development they had was in episode 6, but it still felt forced when Jon grabbed her hand to console her. It should have been more about them talking and reacting to one another’s experiences, and providing input on that, especially since they have a lot of shared experiences, they should be able to understand each other more than anyone else, but we’re not shown that. So I still say ygritte and Jon is better before the romance scenes.
